Small-scale Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Generation Systems
Brunel is proud to have a lab-scale grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) generation system, comprising two different state-of-the-art technology PV arrays, each individually connected to the grid. The associated inverters and weather station are controlled through a dedicated supervisory controller & data logger linked to Brunel’s Local Area Network.
The weather station comprises a Hygrometer, Pyranometer, Anemometer, and a Wind Vane is mounted adjacent to the PV array. This is used to research the dependence of array performance on weather parameters such as solar irradiance and ambient temperature.
