Congratulations to Mauro Costantini who was recently recognised as a member of academic staff that has gone above and beyond in delivering that essential support.

The student led teaching awards, or 'Benguins', are voted for by students and acknowledge the University's lecturers and staff members who stand out from the rest by inspiring, challenging and engaging their students.

The winners were announced at an evening ceremony on 1 May as part of the Annual Learning and Teaching Symposium, a full day of events designed to disseminate best practice and key issues that directly relate to Brunel’s Learning & Teaching agenda.

As one of his students said "Mauro goes above and beyond to make sure that the students are receiving all the help they need and he is proactively promoting the Personal Tutoring System throughout the Department of Economics and Finance. He is always there for his students, and I know I can always stop him whenever I see him to ask for his advice. He is, himself, the description of a Personal Tutor."
