Brunel University’s Partner, ScreenCraft Works, Finalists for International Social Impact Award

IBC, one of the major international film and TV industry events has announced the shortlists for this year’s prestigious Innovation and Social Impact Awards. Brunel University’s partner, ScreenCraft Works is one of four finalists for the award which celebrates projects that address industry diversity, inclusivity and environmental challenges.

ScreenCraft Works is a global community for under-represented film and TV people working in production and post-production.  Founders Elizabeth McIntyre and Rebecca del Tufo launched ScreenCraft Works in Spring 2022, with Brunel University as a key partner for their  Cross-Border Mentoring scheme.

The scheme brings together international industry craftspeople to share knowledge, ideas, work practices and lived experience. Brunel students and graduates have played an active role in these transnational, cross-border exchanges with peers and potential hirers.

ScreenCraft Works’ not-for-profit community now includes people from over 50 countries, working in every area of production and post-production. The intention is to support career development and increase transnational job opportunities, including remote work.

The winners will be announced on Sunday September 17th at IBC’s annual event in Amsterdam. Now in its 56th year,  IBC2023 is expecting attendees from more than 170 nations.
