The Hamilton Centre is the focal point of student life on campus. It houses the Union of Brunel Students who run sports clubs and societies. The building is also home to a range of shops, bars, restaurants and function rooms. During term time a weekly market is held outside on the concourse.
The external fixed slats on the south side of the building were added in the mid 2000’s. They shield the south facing windows from the sun, keeping the building cool.
