Another life transforming trip inspirationally led by our Professor Alexandra Xanthaki comes to end. It may be a drop in the ocean, yet it is a drop well spent: a week in which our Brunel LLM students (for the first time, 3 previous trips have been with Undergraduate students) had the privilege, amongst other things, to have mini placements and training with the Greek Ombudsman and change the fortune of refugees. Blake Morgan LLP joined our Brunel University London Law students in our efforts to help the refugees situation. Prof. Alexandra Xanthaki says: “Thank you so much for your help. This money will make a real and tangible change to individuals detained without any criminal activity, persons who have experienced war, the trip with the boat across Mediterranean and huge issues; who in their 20s or 30s have nothing to do during their endless days and cannot yet make plans for their future.”
