The organisation delivers high-quality healthcare and ensures support for patients at every stage of life, including health visits for new-borns, community nursing, stroke rehabilitation, and palliative care for individuals nearing the end of their lives.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will be assisting the organisation to create paper-based resources that support children and adults in their communication. As a Speech and Language Support Volunteer, you will acquire skills such as being understanding, empathetic, and patient and enhance your visual skills.
Typical duties include:
- Using your creativity and attention to design paper-based communication
- Ensuring the paper-based communication is visually appealing
- Personalising and customising the designs to accommodate individual patients
- Maintaining a record of the resources created to use as feedback
Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 6 months commitment for 4 hours per week in addition to two references and a DBS check (fully funded).
