Cardinal Hume Centre - Retail Assistant

Details of the Charity:

Cardinal Hume Centre helps young people, children, and their families who are facing poverty or homelessness. The organisation is based in Westminster and provides a home on-site to 37 young people, helps families keep or find a stable home, teaches how they can manage their money, and secures their legal right to remain in the UK to access homes, work, and benefits.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will support all areas of retail and customer service. As a Retail Assistant, you will grow your confidence, developing skills such as customer service, teamwork, and organisational abilities.

Typical duties include:

  • Talking to customers and making them feel welcome
  • Rotating stock, sorting, steaming, and tagging donations
  • Housekeeping and tidying window displays to keep the shop looking its best
  • Serving at the till to process sales of clothing and accessories handing them at the end of the day to the Finance Team

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
