The organisation delivers high-quality healthcare and ensures support for patients at every stage of life, including health visits for new-borns, community nursing, stroke rehabilitation, and palliative care for individuals nearing the end of their lives.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will help breastfeeding mothers by offering your support and assistance to ensure that they are successful in breastfeeding. As a Breastfeeding Volunteer Support, you will acquire skills such as being empathetic, patient, and resilient, knowing how to provide one-to-one support, collaborating, and working in a team.
Typical duties include:
- Assisting with breastfeeding positions and techniques
- Supporting mothers in public breastfeeding
- Educating and promoting breastfeeding
- Participating in community outreach programs
Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 6 months commitment for 4 hours per week in addition to two references and a DBS check (fully funded).
