British Heart Foundation has huge number of charities shops that sells donated items online or in store to help fund heart and circulatory research in the UK. The organisation intends for a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases, funding around £100 million research projects every year, as well as heart transplants, pacemakers, portable defibrillators, 3D printed hearts and valve replacements.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will be welcoming customers and providing them with a great customer experience, maintaining a good floor appearance, and helping them to find or direct to the goods they are searching for. As a Sales Floor Volunteer, you will develop many skills such as customer service and communication skills, as well as some selling techniques.
Typical duties include:
- Helping customers on the shop floor and providing good all-round customer service
- Working on window and shop displays to make them look their best
- Keeping the shop tidy, clean, and well organised – some light housekeeping
- Helping your fellow volunteers and staff with customer queries
Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
