Seminar series: Signs of Safety (SOS) for Child Protection

Join our next social work seminar series with Dr. Mary Baginsky from Kings College London.

Abstract:

Signs of Safety (SoS) has become one of the most widely adopted research-based programmes aimed at improving practice in child protection services in England. Originally developed in Western Australia in the 1990s, it has since been adopted in other jurisdictions across North America, Australasia and Europe, including the UK.

Mary Baginsky Social Care Workforce Research Unit at King’s College London presents some findings from Transforming Children’s Services with Signs of Safety Practice at the Centre, one of the largest evaluations of SoS in any location. The study was funded by the Department for Education’s English Innovation Programme.
