Dr Sara De Benedictis and others receive funding for Welfare Imaginaries

Leeds University's Dr Kim Allen, Brunel's Dr Sara De Benedictis, Birmingham University's Dr Kayleigh Garthwaite, Lancaster University's Dr Tracey Jensen and Liverpool University's Dr Ruth Patrick have been awarded funding from The Sociological Review Foundation to run a series of events on 'Welfare Imaginaries'. The series will interrogate past, present and future conceptions of welfare.

Seminar 1, Images and representations of welfare over time, will take place on the 12th June 2018 at The Storey in Lancaster.

Seminar 2, 21st century welfare: Understanding the present, will take place on the 25th September 2018 at The Women’s Organisation in Central Liverpool.

Seminar 3, Welfare futures: Where next?, will take place on the 4th December 2018 at The Birmingham and Midland Institute (BMI).
