London Himalayan Short Film Festival 2024

Join us to be a part of the first ever London Himalayan Short Film Festival 2024 to witness works of visual artists and filmmakers working in the Himalayan regions of Asia, who we believe are shaping public opinion and narrative on the contemporary Himalayan region.

The festival is organised in collaboration between Brunel South Asia Studies Research Group and The Critical Himalayan Collective, and has a stellar line up of short films from the Himalayan regions of Nepal, Northeast India and Tibet.

The film festival theme is 'Mangkolen' translating to 'Tomorrow' in the indigenous Bantawa language from the Himalayan region and this theme is used to explore key issues facing the Himalayan regions, including ecology, environment, sustainability, indigeneity, identity and diaspora.

The festival is scheduled for:

6th April 2024 - 12-6pm (BST)

Eastern Gateway Auditorium, Brunel University London

The event is free and includes refreshments. Register via Eventbrite!
