Miss Elizabeth Rainey
PhD Student

Summary

Elizabeth is a Doctoral Researcher with the UK Food Systems Centre for Doctoral Training.

Her research in the first year will focus on agroforestry, both on-farm applications and urban/peri-urban settings. She has additional research interests in agroecology and political ecology and their intersections with agroforestry practicalities in the UK food system.

She has 10+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector managing projects that integrate food-producing trees into rural and urban environments. She has contributed to research by IPES-Food and the Institute of Development Studies. She completed an MA in Food and Development in 2022.
