Summary

I joined the Physics Department at Brunel in 1986 and have been a member of what is now the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences since 2000. I am a particle physicist, working at CERN, with active research interests in other areas such as sensors, holography and distributed computing. I am the group leader of the Centre for Sensors & Instrumentation and a member of the Institute for Materials and Manufacturing. I am active in Physics and Engineering outreach and I am a STEM Ambassador. I am a Member of the Institute of Physics and a Chartered Physicist.

University Roles

Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC), Chair of the Ionising Radiation and Laser Controlling Authority (IRLCA).
