Corporate Relations at Brunel supports academics, administrative staff and students to form and develop links with employers and other external agencies – and vice versa.
We are a service unit that works across the University – with all the academic colleges, specialist research institutes, central departments and the Students' Union and its societies.
Our aim is to increase opportunities for
- enhancing the student experience
- staff development
- income generation
- reputation building
and to do so in a manner that contributes directly to the social, cultural and economic impact the University makes and sustains.
This aim is realised through
co-ordinating and developing the engagement with targeted corporates
providing a responsive and tailored service to employers and other external agencies
increasing the number of employers who identify Brunel as their University of choice
raising the profile of the University with regional, national and international employer communities assisting the Schools, Research Institutes and Centres and Central Administration to maximise the benefits of corporate engagement
attracting additional funding to support the University’s corporate engagement activities
identifying business/market opportunities and communicating these appropriately across the University
We also serve an important role in being a first port of call for business, the public sector and third sector agencies. We ensure that they are connected with the colleagues at Brunel who can meet their needs (if we cannot) and also that they are better acquainted with the range of capabilities there are available at Brunel.
Corporate Relations also ensures that the University plays an active role in the sub-region. Working closely with partners (such as West London Business), we bring businesses together, make introductions and support local and regional initiatives.
