Just a 45-minute tube ride away from central London, Brunel has the perfect location for fun days out! Below is (probably) the best London walk.

The full walk should take anywhere from two hours to a full day depending on whether or not you decide to go inside any of the places you’ll pass. So here you go!

1. Start at Trafalgar Square…

See the main element of the square, Nelson's Column and the lions around it.

2. Walk down the Mall

A red-carpet-like road leading to Buckingham Palace.

3. Stop outside Buckingham Palace

If the Royal Standard flies above the palace it means that the Queen is present.

4. Take a stroll along Birdcage Walk until you get to Westminster Abbey

The abbey is the traditional place of coronation and burial site for British monarchs.

5. Make sure you don’t miss the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben right around the corner

Did you know Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at Elizabeth Tower and the clock itself?

6. Walk to South Bank through Westminster Bridge

The greenish colour of the bridge is not without reason, it is the same colour as the leather seats in the House of Commons which is on the side of the Palace of Westminster nearest to the bridge.

7. Check out the London Eye

It is Europe's tallest observation wheel and is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the UK.

8. And the Southbank Centre

It comprises three main performance venues (the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room), and is Europe's largest centre for the arts.

9. Walk past the foreshore and the OXO Tower

Did you know the building was originally built as a power station?

10. Keep walking along South Bank until you get to Tate Modern

It is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the world.

11. Carry on walking until you arrive at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

Sadly, it is not the original theatre as it was destroyed by fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614, and then demolished in 1644 but rather an academic approximation based on available evidence of the 1599 and 1614 buildings.

12. Walk back to the Millennium Bridge

The bridge has been featured in many films such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Guardians of the Galaxy.

13. Walk along the bridge until you reach St. Paul's Cathedral

The cathedral boasts one of the biggest domes in the world at 366ft/111m high.

14. Walk along Cannon Street until you reach The Monument

At the entrance to the Monument are three inscriptions in Latin which describe how the fire started, the damage it caused and how King Charles II dealt with it.

15. Head down Lower Thames Street and you'll see the Tower of London

Did you know that at least 6 ravens are kept at the Tower of London at all times, for superstitious reasons?

16. Tower Bridge is right around the corner

Its bascules are raised around 1000 times a year!

17. Walk for a couple of minutes until you get to St. Katherine's Docks

The name St Katharine dates back to a Medieval church and hospital, which was founded on the site in the 12th century.

18. Arrive at The Dickens Inn

The pub is a former brewery dating back to the 18th century.

That's it!
