Congratulations are being poured out to Nevine Singer, President of Brunel Law Society, for her nomination last week as ‘Best Student Law Society President 21’ by LawCareers.net.

Brunel Law Society exists to offers its student members a multitude of ways to further their career and better their career prospects, from mooting, debating and negotiation, to competitions, weekly workshops, socials and networking opportunities.

The voluntary role of the Society's President is a diverse one with a wide range of responsibilities internally and externally. Nevine regularly meets with Law School staff and represents committee members at meetings with external organisations, which she manages alongside her LLB studies.

Nevine had been working with LawCareers.net to garner opportunities for members. As a result, LawCareers.net suggested Brunel Law Society apply for the award of Best President.

Nevine has been quick to credit the collective efforts of many for the nomination. In particular, she enjoys liaising with committee members to enhance offerings as well as soliciting contributions to the Society’s publication, The Brunel Lawyer. Another recent tremendous achievement for the Society was to secure a UK supreme court judge to judge their internal mooting competition in the Spring.

“It's an honour to be nominated for this award. A lot of effort has been put in to ensure that we are constantly striving for the best. I am proud that our society is gaining the recognition it deserves. To have been selected out of dozens of law society presidents across the nation is a huge achievement for me.”

The winner will be announced in a LawCareers.net virtual event in March.
