Biography
Gunner George Gordon Casey played in his local temperance movement band before attending Borough Road College, he had won a scholarship to his previous school. At Borough Road College he excelled at chemistry, physics, magnetic and electricity elements of science and drawing. He joined the Royal Garrison Artillery in Hampshire, possibly in Portsmouth, in September 1914. He died on 29 November 1914 following an operation.
