•I am currently a member of More Energy. How will this affect me?

Any existing memberships will be continued by Brunel Sport and we look forward to welcoming you. As More Energy is a separate company, you will need to register with Brunel Sport which you can do via the Brunel Sport app, on our website (www.brunel.ac.uk/sport) or on your first visit to the gym after 1st June 2019. When signing up via our app or online please select New Customer after you have entered your Name and email.  You will then be asked to select either PAYG or Sign Up for a membership.  As you have a current membership that has transfered across from More Energy, please select PAYG. join at home FAQ

Compete the registration process, then email gym@brunel.ac.uk to receive your 'Log in Pin' to access the app. We will continue your Gym registration process once you have successfully registered on our app.  Any questions please contact us on gym@brunel.ac.uk. 

•What do I need to do on my first visit?

Please come to Sports Centre reception on your first visit where we will need to take your photo for your member profile and issue you with a gym pass. If you have bought a student, staff or concessionary membership, you will also need to provide proof of that status.

•How can I join the gym?

Memberships will all be online and available via the Brunel Sport website (www.brunel.ac.uk/sport) or by downloading the Brunel Sport app to your phone. If you’d like to speak to someone, please visit us in the Sports Centre or call us on 01895 265305. 

•Can I pay by Direct Debit?

All gym membership options will be available as either Direct Debits or as an annual payments in advance.

•What notice do I need to give if I want to leave?

Direct Debit memberships are subject to a one month minimum contract term. Any member wishing to cancel must provide a minimum of 30 days’ notice in writing to the Gym Manager at gym@brunel.ac.uk. Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds on Annual Memberships except in the circumstances outlined in the membership terms and conditions.

•Can I put my membership on hold over the summer as a student?

Yes student Direct Debit members are able to freeze their membership between 1st June and 31st August providing the student notifies the gym team in advance of 1st May.

•Are classes included in my membership?

Yes all fitness classes are included in your membership type (i.e. off peak members can only attend classes during off peak hours). ‘Premium’ members will also have Union Sport membership included which will give you access to all active@brunel sessions too.

•Can I qualify for Members of the Defence Community?

Any serving personnel should use their MOD 90 (Service ID card) for evidence of eligibility; service families to show their Defence Discount Service (DDS) card and Veterans to have a specific ID card.

•How do I book onto a class?

Members are able to book classes via the Brunel Sport app up to 7 days in advance.

•How much do fitness classes cost for non-members?

30 minute classes are £5, 45 minute classes are £6 and specialist classes such as Yoga and Pilates are £7.

•How do I cancel a class booking?

You can do this via the Brunel Sport app where you made your original booking.

•Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely. We welcome non-members on a Pay as You Train basis of £6 per visit.

•What is the minimum age to join?

You must be 16 to join the Brunel Sport Gym however membership for anyone under the age of 18 needs to be agreed with the Gym Management who you can contact on 01895 265305 or gym@brunel.ac.uk

•Do you offer Corporate memberships?

Yes. Please enquire directly with our gym team on 01895 265305 or gym@brunel.ac.uk

•Do I have to have an induction?

Inductions are advised but not compulsory.  We recommend you book a FREE induction so that you get the most out of your Gym visits. 

•How can I give feedback to the gym?

We welcome all feedback and you can do so by either speaking to a member of staff or email gym@brunel.ac.uk.

•What should I wear?

Please wear clothing appropriate to a gym environment (no denim). Clean trainers should also be worn.

•Do you have showers / changing facilities?

We have showers and lockers available in our changing rooms in the Sports Centre.

•Is there parking available?

Yes. Parking is free of charge to public members although parking restrictions are in force from 8am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday so you must register for a parking permit at reception during these hours. NB During the working day, it can sometimes be harder to find a space in the Sports Centre car park but this becomes much easier after 4:30pm.
