Brunel thanks RAF Uxbridge for Royal visits support

The Queen visited the Uxbridge campus in May, to open the University's new £10 million health and social care building and name it the Mary Seacole Building, and the Duke of Edinburgh, who was ill on the day, rescheduled his visit to July, when he re-named the Science Building, the Heinz Wolff Building.

The RAF is donating the gift, from Brunel University, to St Dunstan's, a centre for blind ex-Service men and woman, and the London Air Ambulance.

Professor Thomas said: “Without the help of the RAF, we would really have struggled. We are really in your debt for those two days.“

Wing Commander Lindsey replied that RAF Uxbridge was “delighted to have taken part.“
