Color in Tech

Color in Tech work towards increasing diversity in the tech world through their range of exciting programmes. The Tech Immersion programme brings talented BAME students to a leading tech hub to explore the industry and develop their network.

Tech Immersion in San Francisco's Silicon Valley

We’re offering one bright student a chance to spend 4 days in Silicon Valley, experiencing first hand what it's like to enter and thrive in the tech industry. You’ll get to interact with innovative tech companies through site visits, workshops and networking dinners. There will also be sessions on key skills such as presenting, pitch practice, commercial knowledge and how to go about building a tech product.

The programme is designed for students interested in a range of roles including Engineering, Business, Product and Marketing. Students leave with a greater level of knowledge about the industry, increased confidence and a better understanding of career options.

The course will take place in San Francisco from 17 – 21 June 2019. Flights, accommodation and food are covered by Color in Tech and we’ll sponsor your place by covering the course fee of £700

The opportunity is open to all Brunel UK/EU BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) undergraduates who are

  • curious and entrepreneurial
  • interested in a career in tech
  • on track for a 2.1 or above
