Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?

All within the worldwide laboratory analytical supplies sector. I also achieved a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

Talking to people about analytical metrology.

What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?

Establishing four companies and selling one, which has funded my retirement.

How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?

Dr John Dore from the Fundamentals of Science course unit used to say: "Believe nothing you cannot verify and question everything."

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

I got in through UCAS Clearing as my A Levels were, well, not impressive!

What is your best memory of studying here?

A very small course, less than 50, so personalised tuition and approachable tutors.

If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?

Life isn't a holiday, no one owes you anything, so work a bit harder than you play.

What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?

Question everything, be careful who / what you trust and keep smiling, it confuses them!
