The benefits of being Brunel Alumni

While your graduation marked the end of an important period in your life, it was just the start of a lifelong connection you will now have with Brunel, which holds many advantages for you.

Now that you are one of Brunel’s 110,000 alumni, you have at your fingertips a network of experienced individuals from whom you can learn and develop as a professional. You are also entitled to a range of exclusive benefits to help you kick-start your career.

Careers support

Our Careers Consultants are on hand to help you for up to two years after your graduation. Whether you need to improve your CV, practise your interview skills or find a job, you can book an appointment to get some specialist guidance and practical support throughout the job application process.

And you do not need to be living near Brunel to benefit – you can receive help over email or Skype too. The Careers team also organises a range of invaluable events from careers workshops to recruitment fairs.

Visit http://www.brunel.ac.uk/services/pcc/students/getagradjob for more details.

Library access and other facilities on campus

You can still access the library for reference without charge and you can take books out for a reduced annual fee of £20*, but you will need an Alumni Card to do so. Please email alumni@brunel.ac.uk with your name, date of birth, course studied and current address and we will send one out to you.

Please note, you will not be able to use electronic resources in the library, such as online journals, because these are only licensed for student use. However, if you use your @my.brunel.ac.uk email address to log into ‘Eduroam’ on campus, you will be able to use the network on your own laptop or tablet.

Discount on further study

If you are looking to continue your studies as a Postgraduate student, and you have completed an undergraduate degree at Brunel, you are entitled to a 15% discount on fees. Furthermore, if you achieved a First Class degree, you can also receive a further 15% discount. Visit http://www.brunel.ac.uk/courses/pg/funding/scholarships-bursaries for more details.*
