Queen Mary’s Dr Yasmin Ibrahim and Brunel's Dr Anita Howarth have co-authored a research article entitled, 'Review of Humanitarian Refuge in the United Kingdom: Sanctuary, Asylum, and the Refugee Crisis', in Politics and Policy (Wiley Journal). In this article, they trace 100-plus years of policies on refugees.
