Details of the Charity:

Rayners Lane F.C. is a semi-professional football founded in 1946 and currently competing in the Spartan South Midlands Football League, which is at the ninth tier of the English football league system. The organisation has a long-standing history within the local football scene and has had varying degrees of success over the years.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you assist to prevent, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate injuries and conditions that affect athletes playing matches at the club. As a Sports Physio, you will learn a set of skills such as clinical assessment and diagnosis, manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.

Typical duties include:

  • Assisting with stretching and exercising during the men’s warm-up
  • Assisting with any injuries the men’s team faced during matches
  • Helping athletes to implement treatment plans designed for their needs
  • Supervising athletes as they perform prescribed excises, ensuring proper techniques are followed

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.

To be eligible for this position, you must be available on Thursday mornings.
