Chiswick House and Gardens Trust is a registered charity, created jointly by English Heritage and the London Borough of Hounslow. The organisation is among the examples of 18th-century British architecture in West London and aims to conserve its historic, horticultural, and natural heritage, sustain and improve biodiversity, and support the local community’s health and well-being. 

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will work alongside Chiswick House and Gardens team, to conserve, restore, and enhance the gardens, for the benefit of the local community while improving biodiversity. As a Wider Garden Volunteer, you will acquire leadership, organisational, communication, and customer service skills.

Typical duties include:

  • Helping with gardening tasks from weeding and watering to planting and pruning
  • Maintaining horticultural standards 
  • Ensuring members and visitors can enjoy the garden experience
  • Working as part of a team and helping create a friendly, sociable, and non-judgmental atmosphere

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
