Details of the Charity:

The Scout Association aims to provide skills for life to young people so they can reach their full potential. They have the opportunity to enjoy new adventures, experience outdoors and take part in a range of creative, community and international activities, interacting with others, making new friends, gaining confidence.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will help the Scout Leaders and Assistant Scout Leaders in delivering the programme to young people in Scouting. As a Scout Assistant, you will assist in young people's skills development and improve your own leadership and teamwork skills.

Typical duties include:

  • Running games and activities as part of weekly section meetings and other section events
  • Planning and Coordinating various aspects of residential experiences such as accommodations, meals, transportation, activities
  • Providing support to the section by taking part in a varied, exciting, and safe programme of activities
  • Assisting young people to achieve badges and awards

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
