The Disablement Association Hillingdon (DASH) is a charity providing advice, support, and activities that allow disabled people who are a resident of Hillingdon to take control of their lives and become more independent, confident, and part of the community. The organisation offers advice and support for people with a disability and a range of sporting and recreational activities all focused on encouraging people to socialize with one another.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will help and support clients to learn to use the internet, laptops, and tablets efficiently. As a Digital Inclusion Volunteer, you will develop communication, teaching, and training skills, you will also enhance leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
Typical duties include:
- Creating and implementing strategies to promote digital inclusion
- Organising training sessions to enhance digital literacy skills
- Teaching how to use an email address, book appointments online and use Google
- Providing one-on-one or group support
Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
