DKMS is an international charity launched in the UK in 2013. The organisation is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorder whilst recruiting blood stem cell donors to provide a second chance at life.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will actively engage with visitors, offering a warm welcome and addressing inquiries about the registration process and commitment involved. As a DKMS - Blood Cancer Event Volunteer, you'll have the chance to develop communication skills, fundraising experience, and deepen your understanding of DKMS's mission.

Typical duties include:

  • Engaging with event visitors and answering their questions about the registration process
  • Raising awareness about blood cancer by informing participants about DKMS work
  • Distributing informational flyers and assisting with fundraising activities during events
  • Reviewing and verifying registration forms to ensure accurate and pertinent data collection

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
