Research area(s)

My research areas are focused on race, ethnicity and special needs education. I am very much interested in how racial and cultural identity are taught in British special schools and how Black pupils with acute learning needs and challenges are empowered through diverse pedagogical practices, resources and more. Additionally my research areas examine the experiences of Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups within academia.

Research Interests

My research interests include race and representation in education and how race and ethnicity intersects within special needs education. Another research interest is auto/biographical research and the art of 'storytelling'.
