Dr Enrique Castro-Sanchez
Senior Lecturer in Global Challenges (Planetary Health)

Topics

I am happy to supervise doctoral researchers whose ideas and projects align with planetary perspectives of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. Some of my current interests for doctoral research supervision include:

  • Policy analysis and evaluation related to antimicrobial stewardship interventions, infection prevention and control measures;
  • Characterising social inequalities surrounding infection prevention behaviours and vaccination;
  • Development, implementation, and evaluation of models of care focused on advanced clinical practice and community health workers to address infection-related challenges;
  • Arts-based societal engagement, co-design, and co-production interventions focused on infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and vaccinations.

I am keen to support candidates from low-resource settings and the Majority World. I have experience supporting students and researchers in India, Pakistan, South Africa, Rwanda, Chile, Mexico, the UK, Switzerland, and Spain.
