Dr Kezhi Wang received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Warwick. He was with University of Essex and Northumbria University. He is now a Senior Lecturer at Brunel University London.
He has received several awards, including a prestigious IEEE Communications Society Leonard G. Abraham Prize.
He has published 100+ IEEE journals (IEEE Transactions, IEEE Letters, IEEE Magazines), with the citation 5,600+, h-index: 38, i10-index: 83 (Google Scholar, as of 10/11/2022).
As a PI/Co-I, he has been involved in several projects including Distinguished Visiting Fellowship from Royal Academy of Engineering (PI); International Exchanges from Royal Society (PI), EU Horizon EVOLVE project (Co-I from Northumbria University), EU COVER project (Coordinator/PI, HORIZON-MSCA-SE-2021, overall funding €1m+; 4 years from 1/2023; 10 universities and industrial partners from UK, EU, Australia and Canada; Coordinator role handed over to another EU partner due to that the UK institutions cannot be the coordinator at the time of grant signature), UK EPSRC NIRVANA and EU Horizon 2020 iCIRRUS projects (Senior research officer).
He currently serves as an Associate Editor for six journals including IEEE WCL/IEEE CL; serves/served as a Lead/Guest Editor for international journals and TPC Track Chair/Publicity Co-Chair/Session Chair/TPC member for a number of conferences, e.g., IEEE Globecom/ICC/VTC.
He has supervised/co-supervised several PhD students to complete and most of them are now working in Universities/Industries across the UK and the world.
He has been invited to give talks at several universities and organizations, e.g., IEEE ComSoc School Series UK and Ireland.
He has been reviewing the proposal for several organizations, e.g., Israel Science Foundation and EPSRC.
He has acted as an external examiner for several universities, e.g., Edge Hill University, Aston University, and University of Exeter.
