At Brunel Innovation Centre, we are focusing on Asset Integrity for industrial applications. We are developing technologies for the non-destructive testing and condition and structural health monitoring for various industrial applications: oil and gas, energy, renewables, nuclear, transport, etc. We have identified the power of Artificial Intelligence to improve the asset integrity management of assets and have shifted our research towards applying machine learning to extract more intelligence from big sensor data. 

Since 2016, Brunel Innovation Centre paradigm shift resulted in 9 AI-driven collaborative research projects and building a team of 5 AI focused researchers. Our research led to significant improvement of our NDT and monitoring capabilities but also to tackling alternative applications such as the medical and agricultural sectors.
