The staff at ETC are also working on the development of new materials and applying existing materials to new applications, whilst simultaneously developing and optimising the materials for the given tasks.
Material Development
ETC is involved in a number of various material development studies, as well as being the driver behind several projects looking at new and novel materials designed to solve specific engineering problems being faced by our industrial partners.
Surface Engineering
ETC's surface engineering centre is equipped with a bespoke plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition system designed for the deposition of silicated and hydrogenated diamond like carbon coatings for tribological, electrical and optical applications.
UV surface treatment
Bespoke UV surface modification in development
